Lauren Boebert of Colorado introduced a bill co-sponsored honors Emma Weyant – a collegiate swimmer who finished in second place at the NCAA swimming championship last week. Weyant, a silver medalist at the Tokyo Olympics, finished second in the 500-yard freestyle race. Lia Thomas, who finished first in the race, became the first transgender woman to win an NCAA title. That clearly didn’t sit right with Boebert and her GOP colleagues. She’s now co-sponsoring a bill to honor Weyant while refusing the acknowledge Thomas’ victory in the event. Here’s what…
