In the past, Quantic Dream has always been a close cooperation partner of PlayStation with games like Heavy Rain, Beyond: Two Souls or Detroit: Become Human. These titles have now also been available for the PC for almost three years. One of the first steps into the future of Quantic Dream, who want to publish their projects on several platforms from now on. They get support from NetEase. The company from China has already invested in the developer studio so that the corresponding tasks can be mastered.
According to a recent report by renowned insider Tom Henderson exporter NetEase now seems to have even bigger plans with Quantic Dream. According to his information, the studio from France will probably soon be 100% bought by NetEase. Apparently those responsible have been holding internal talks on this topic for some time. An official announcement seems to be planned for the summer. Quantic Dream is currently working on Star Wars Eclipse – the team’s most ambitious project to date. The development should not run smoothly in the end. A release is therefore not expected before 2027. Neither side has yet commented on the reports.
