A traditionally rather weak game release month still offers several potential goodies.

April. A rather weak release month on paper, historically speaking and so also this year. No big releases with billions in the back. April and May have traditionally instead been more about building hype before E3, and that small clues are released about what will be shown there. This year we do not know what will happen with press conferences and revelations, but what we actually know is that if you look closer, there are still a lot of goodies in the release list. Stay tuned when the editors give their tips!

King Arthur: A Knight’s Tale
Jonny wants to put the spotlight on “a dark role-playing game with battles reminiscent of Xcom, but with a much higher focus on melee combat.” Apparently it should be a dark take on the story of King Arthur. The game will be released for PC on April 26, and will also get PS5 and Series X releases at a later time. Has been as early access for a while, but then only the first act.

Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
Mike highlights the ever-delayed Lego Star Wars enealogy, which will now finally reach commerce. The whole long story, in one and the same contract package, starting April 5 Or as Mike says:
“Cult-declared Danish plastic pieces + 40 years of Star Wars. It can be ridiculously fun. ”

Star Wars The Force Unleashed
More Star Wars, when The Force Unleashed is finally released on the Nintendo Switch, April 20. The game is a clearly capable action spectacle that Switch owners can now take part in. The main character may have the game world’s most quirky name, Starkiller, but do not let that stop you from experiencing this skillful classic.

The House of the Dead: Remake
Finally time for the remake of this arcade classic, which has been updated with new graphics and lots of elements that make the experience a little more accommodating, without it being easier for that reason. April 7 is the release date for the shooter who made lots of players giggle hysterically, swear over the difficulty level. Jocke loved the original. Switch is the platform.

Midnight Ghost Hunt
The publisher behind releases such as Valheim and Deep Rock Galactic will release this exciting title as early as April 1. And it does not look like a joke. Ghost hunters and ghosts fight in tight fighters, who feel more Back 4 Blood than Ghostbusters.
Note that the release is early access, and not a sharp release. But we take what we get! PC is the platform that applies.
