Dozens of Russian diplomats have been expelled from at least four European Union countries in a coordinated effort against Russian intelligence operations. The Netherlands, Belgium, Ireland and the Czech Republic gave notice to a total of 43 Russian diplomats on Tuesday. It follows similar moves by Poland and the the Baltic countries recently. The Dutch government expelled 17 Russians it said were using diplomatic cover to carry out espionage activities.
