German Chancellor Olaf Scholz reminded fellow EU member states of their commitments to host people seeking protection from the war in Ukraine. Previous pledges of help for people now “should become concrete,” Scholz said on Monday. So far most people have arrived in countries bordering Ukraine or Germany, Scholz said. Other EU countries should now take in an amount of people fleeing Ukraine who do not know where they want to go, he said.
