New Jersey on Saturday reported another eight confirmedCOVID-19 deaths and 917 positive tests. Hospitalization rates rose again as the stealth omicron subvariant continues to spread in New Jersey. The state’s seven-day average for confirmed cases was 813 on Saturday, up 25% from a week ago, but still down 22% from a month ago. There were 351 patients with confirmed or suspected coronavirus cases across 70 of the state’s 71 hospitals as of Friday night. One hospital did not report data.
