By Tzvi Machlin Few jobs in sports are risky as a racing pit crew given the speeds that some cars enter pit row at. One pit crew member proved that in an IndyCar race today. During today’s XPEL 375, Pato O’Ward pulled in to pit row for a stop. He promptly made contact with the leg of a pit crew member, and the pain on the person’s face was immediately clear. It’s hard to tell whether O’Ward didn’t swing his car in properly or if the pit crew member had their leg too far out.
