Slovenia’s Timi Zajc won the ski jumping World Cup on the Oberstdorf flying hill on Sunday but Japan’s Ryoyu Kobayashi took another step towards clinching the overall title. Zajc flew 211.5 metres and 232m for a best 407.9 points with Poland’s Piotr Zyla second on 401.1 (218.5m/221m) and Austria’s Stefan Kraft third on 399.8 (212m/222.5m). No one got close to the hill record of 242.5m jumped by Slovenia’s Domen Prevc in qualifying in the competition rounds.
