The Vatican on Saturday released a long-awaited document that makes reforms to the organization and structure of the Roman Curia, the Vatican’s central bureaucracy. The new Apostolic Constitution of the Roman Curia goes into effect on June 5, replacing the constitution that Pope John Paul II issued in 1988 and which the Pope Emeritus Benedict XVI later amended in 2011.
