Switzerland beat Olympic champions Austria 3-1 to take first place in the mixed team event at the World Cup finals in France on Friday. Livio Simonet, Andrea Ellenberger and Fadri Janutin won their heats in the parallel race after Delphine Darbellay had lost the first one in Meribel. Olympic silver medallists Germany beat Norway 3-1 for third place. The World Cup finals are completed with giant slalom and slalom races for men and women on Saturday and Sunday. Marco Odermatt of Switzerland and American Mikaela Shiffrin have already clinched the overall titles.
