During a game between No. 5 seed Saint Mary’s and No. 12 seed Indiana, a missed shot went soaring over the backboard. The ball remained lodged behind the backboard and halted play. The Gaels’ Matthias Tass attempted to retrieve the ball with a broom, but not even he could reach it – even though he stands never seven feet tall.
