Eintracht Frankfurt and German football are mourning the death of 1974 World Cup winner Jürgen Grabowski after his death aged 77. Grabowski’s wife confirmed to dpa reports from the VRM media group to dpa that he died in hospital on Thursday. The creative midfielder Grabowski played 44 times for West Germany and was European champion in 1972 before lifting the World Cup the home two years later.
