Bernd Neuendorf has been elected the new president of the German Football Federation (DFB) after comprehensively defeating rival Peter Peters in Friday’s vote in Bonn. The 60-year-old Neuendorf, who had the crucial amateur backing from within the world’s largest single sport federation, won by 193 votes to 50 against Peters, who was supported by the professional side of the game. Neuendorf will take office in succession of Fritz Keller, who resigned in May 2021, and will try to restore the reputation of the scandal-hit organization. “I want to do everything that this federation finally settles…
