Hertha Berlin has received financial aid from the German government to get through the coronavirus pandemic, the Bundesliga club said on Thursday. The club confirmed a report from Kicker sports magazine in which Hertha financial managing director Ingo Schiller said the club requested and received help from special pandemic related funds. Kicker said the club received some €7 million ($7.7 million) as Schiller said they were still suffering from low ticket sale income. The money entered the club’s books in the second half of 2021.
