German carmaker Volkswagen will pay its staff a slightly higher bonus for the past year, the head of the works council said on Tuesday. Staff on full contracts are to receive €1,300 ($1,410) in their May salaries after having recovered an advance payment of €1,700 in November, works council boss Daniela Cavallo said in the company magazine Mitbestimmen.
