By Andrew Holleran Major League Soccer arrived in Charlotte on Saturday night. More than 70,000 people packed the stadium to watch the first MLS game in the city’s history. It was a pretty special night. While Charlotte FC fell to the LA Galaxy, 1-0, it was still an unforgettable night – particularly so because of what happened before the match. During the national anthem performance, the performer’s microphone went out, so the 75,000 fans joined in and performed it together. It was pretty epic: Well done, Charlotte.
