For the first time since the spring of 2015, the reigning LEC champion will not be heading to the Spring Playoffs. MAD Lions have finished outside of the top six in the 2022 LEC Spring Split after winning both spring and summer last season. On the last day of the Spring Split, MAD Lions needed to win their last match against Team BDS, but if Astralis was unable to beat Team Vitality, MAD’s victory would be rendered irrelevant.
