Norway’s Tiril Eckhoff ended an almost year-long winning drought in the biathlon World Cup when she topped a pursuit race in Finland on Sunday. Eckhoff could afford two missed targets as she won the 10-kilometres race in Kontiolahti the day after coming second in a sprint. Italy’s Dorothea Wierer roared from 17th in the sprint to second, 15.9 seconds back, while German sprint winner Denise Herrmann faded to third with three penalty laps, another 3.6 seconds back.
