However, when Pew Research Center recently canvassed roughly 10,000 U.S. adults as part of its ongoing “American Trends” panel, views of the U.S. labor market were less definitive than might be expected. While 40 percent of respondents said finding a job is easier today for young adults, almost the exact same amount, 39 percent, insisted it is harder. The rest, 21 percent, felt it’s about the same.
