Gov. Phil Murphy will lift the latest COVID-19 public health emergency on Monday after two years of New Jerseyans being under emergency orders from the pandemic that swept the world. The governor issued his first public health emergency in March 2020, when the state and region all but shut down after being hit by the first wave of the pandemic.
