Growing Covid-19 outbreaks at Hong Kong’s prisons have seen around 1,000 inmates testing positive for the virus over the past two weeks, with jailed pro-democracy activists reportedly among the infected. In a statement released on Thursday, the Correctional Services Department (CSD) said the majority of the patients were at Lai Chi Kok Reception Centre, Stanley Prison, Lo Wu Correctional Institution and Pik Uk Prison.
