Ukraine’s former biathlon world champion Dmytro Pidruchnyi has made an emotional social media post from his hometown of Ternopil after joining the army in response to Russia’s invasion of his country. “I’m thankful to everyone who writes to me and worries for my family, and those who support and help Ukraine,” the 30-year-old said alongside a picture of him taken in military uniform he said was taken during an air raid.
