The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced that an excess of 250,000 coronavirus cases and over 3,000 deaths were recorded within the last two years. The health agency which stated that Nigeria had learnt major lessons in its bid to strengthen its health system to cope with other infectious diseases and future health emergencies, noted that Coronavirus still remains a global reality with the risk of emergence of dangerous variants despite the prevailing pandemic fatigue.
