SOFIA (Reuters) – The Bulgarian media regulator temporarily restricted on Tuesday broadcasting in the country by Russian state-owned television network Russia Today and news agency Sputnik and their subsidiaries. The Council of Electronic Media’s decision comes after European Union President Ursula von Der Leyen said the 27-member bloc will ban the channels following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.
