In the next few days you can of course look forward to a few new games for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. You can find out exactly which three games will find their way into retail in our small overview.

Next week some new games will be released for PS4 and PS5. As in the previous week, the number of new releases fell a bit again, this time from six to three fresh titles. As always, we will tell you in the following lines which games are waiting for you.

Cathedral (PS4)

Release: April 12, 2022

With some delay, the indie action-adventure “Cathedral” dares now also on the PlayStation 4. In it you wake up in a strange world and you have no idea how you could have ended up there. Shortly thereafter, your nameless character joins forces with a ghost and sets out on an adventure. The goal is of course clear: you have to somehow try to be able to return home.

The game presents itself in a classic pixel look, which is probably not accidentally reminiscent of genre classics such as “Castlevania” and “Metroid”. In the style of the role models, you explore a large 2D world in which over 600 different rooms await curious players. The developers emphasize that even if the graphics are very classic, the title also offers modern and direct controls. That should also be necessary, after all, numerous monsters want to be defeated and puzzles solved.

Nobody Saves the World (PS4, PS5)

Release: April 14, 2022

Meanwhile, a potential indie gem could be waiting for us with “Nobody Saves the World”, the latest work from DrinkBox Studios (“Guacamelee”). This time we take control of an eponymous nobody who has a special power: he can transform his normally shapeless body. Extremely practical, because you have over 15 transformations available, including a ghost and a dragon. By the way, your big goal in the action RPG is nothing other than saving the world.

Of course, each of your transformations also fulfills a specific purpose, because they all come with their own abilities. You have to cleverly combine these in order to progress through the levels. If you want, you can also accept small quests along the way and help all sorts of illustrious characters with their problems. You can also choose to play the game online with a friend.

Road 96 (PS4, PS5)

Release: April 14, 2022

If you’re more after a grippingly told and emotional story, you should take a look at “Road 96”. The game takes you to the year 1996, in which your character embarks on a great journey to savor freedom and escape from the clutches of an evil regime. Along the way, you’ll meet different characters whose stories overlap with your own.

As is typical for the genre, the decisions you make as part of the storyline play a major role. These are not only intended to affect your own story and that of the characters you meet, but could ultimately impact the entire world. The makers promise thousands of possible routes through the game, which means that every player should experience their very own road trip, accompanied by hits from the 90s.

Will you get one of the new games?
