Switzerland’s Marco Odermatt secured the alpine skiing World Cup giant slalom title on Saturday after finishing joint second in a Kranjska Gora race won by Norway’s Henrik Kristoffersen. Odermatt was second overall last year and second in giant slalom but the Beijing Olympic champion made sure he went one better this season with two World Cup giant slaloms still to race.
