Germany’s Denis Herrmann won a duel of former cross country ski greats against Stina Nilsson of Sweden in a women’s biathlon World Cup sprint race in Finland on Saturday. Beijing Olympics 15km champion Herrmann prevailed over 7.5 kilometres in Kontiolahti, beating Norway’s Tiril Eckhoff by 5 seconds, with Nilsson another two-tenth back in third for her maiden biathlon podium.
