The German carmaker BMW said on Wednesday that several of its production lines will come to a standstill next week due to supply chain disruptions caused by the war in Ukraine. Production at plants in Munich and Dingolfing, both in Bavaria, will stop, along with sites in Steyr, Austria, Oxford, England, and the Netherlands. The problem lies with the inability of BMW to get a hold of wire harnesses from suppliers in Ukraine. In the eastern German city of Leipzig, one of the two shifts will be cancelled.
