Jersey City is looking to get healthier with a Fitbit-like gift for more than 100 residents to help them monitor and improve their health. The 119 Oura rings the city is handing out are connected to the vertical farming program it launched with AeroFarms in 2020, to bring tons of free fresh produce to residents every year with the hopes of transforming eating habits, which are historically poor in urban “food deserts” like Jersey City.
