The US technology giant Intel is to learn on Wednesday whether an appeal against a 1 billion euro (1.1 billion dollars) fine from the European Commission for abuse of market dominance is successful. The EU General Court, the bloc’s second highest court is to rule on the saga dating back to May 2009 when the commission first issued the billion euro penalty, a record at the time, against Intel.
