Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda has declared a state of emergency in the Baltic country – a member of both the European Union and NATO – in view of the Russian invasion of the Ukraine. The presidential office in Vilnius communicated that a decree had been signed, with the state of emergency to take effect immediately and last until March 10, 2022.
