Snow squalls are expected in parts of northwestern New Jersey as intense bands of snow approach the region, possibly creating whiteout conditions and making driving treacherous because of quick snow accumulations on roads. The National Weather Service reported shortly after noon that a “fast-moving and intense” snow squall along an arctic cold front is moving eastward from central Pennsylvania and upstate New York.
