Nigeria’s federal government has struck a power contract for €9.3 million with the European Union (EU) and the German government. f Eight indigenous solar developers have built 23 mini-grids. The agreement was made under the Interconnected Mini-grid Acceleration Scheme (IMAS), which aims to improve power supply in rural areas. Eleven states are home to the 23 mini-grids.
