By Nick Dimengo Seattle (Knewz) — According to a new Gallup poll, a record 7.1 percent of American adults now identify as LGBTQ — representing an increase of 1.5 percent from last year’s poll, and double the percentage of Gallup’s first poll measuring identity in 2012. The increase in those who now identify as LGBTQ is led by younger people, with 21 percent of Gen Z Americans (born between 1997-2003) and 10.5 percent of Millennials (born between 1981-96) falling into this category.
