German rail operator Deutsche Bahn has halted long-distance train services in several states due to adverse weather conditions in the north of the country. No long-distance trains are running in Lower Saxony, Bremen, Schleswig-Holstein, Mecklenburg Vorpommern, Berlin and Brandenburg, the company said Thursday morning. Storm Ylenia hit Germany late Wednesday, with the German meteorological service (DWD) issuing severe weather warnings until Thursday evening.
