Finland impressively sealed bronze in the women’s ice hockey competition at the Beijing Olympics on Wednesday when they overpowered Switzerland 4-0. Canada face the United States in the women’s final on Thursday. Finland made sure they would get back-to-back bronze medals following 2018 thanks to goals from Viivi Vainikka, Susanna Tapani, Nelli Laitinen and Michelle Karvinen. The Finnish men were also in action against Switzerland in their quarter-final and they also won easily, progressing 5-1.
