New Jersey on Tuesday reported another 87 confirmed COVID-19 deaths and 1,350 confirmed cases as hospitalizations dropped below 1,400 patients for the first time since Dec. 6. The state’s seven-day average for confirmed positive tests declined to 1,657, down 32% from a week ago and 92% from a month ago as the recent surge driven by the omicron variant continues to subside.
