Germany’s dream of another Olympic miracle on ice ended Tuesday in a crushing 4-0 defeat against Slovakia at the Beijing Games. Germany claimed a surprise silver at the 2018 Olympics but this time around the team went out in the play-off game for a quarter-final berth. They had earlier also lost to Canada and the United States, and the only win came against hosts China.
