Alexey Chervotkin skied away early as the Russia team won Olympic gold in the men’s cross-country skiing relay for the first time in 42 years in impressive fashion on Sunday. Chervotkin, skiathlon winner and 10-kilometre silver medallist Alexander Bolshunov, skiathlon silver medallist Denis Spitsov and Sergey Ustiugov won the 4x10km race held in driving snowfall.
