Heavy snowfall has delayed the start of the second run of the men’s Olympic giant slalom ski race on Sunday. Organizers were unable to move all the fresh snow out of the Yanqing piste and it was decided to push back the start by 75 minutes to 3 pm (0700 GMT). It was however unclear if fair conditions could be created by then as snow continued to fall. In addition, the hill has no floodlight which means that organizers could run out of daylight with further delays.
