Beijing time on April 12th, in the first quarter of 2022, Apple’s global shipments of Macs were about 7 million units, compared with 6.5 million units in the same period a year ago.A year-on-year increase of 8.6%.

According to Gartner’s statistics, Apple’s Mac’s share in the global PC market was 9% in the first quarter, ranking fourth, compared with 7.7% in the same period last year. The global PC market is not stable, with some manufacturers seeing declining shipments.

Lenovo remains the world’s No. 1 PC maker18.3 million units were shipped in the first quarter, a year-on-year decrease of 12.6%.HP comes in second, shipped 15.9 million units, a year-on-year decrease of 17.8%. Dell came in third, shipping 13.7 million units, up 5% year-over-year. Acer and Asus ranked fifth and sixth, respectively.

Worldwide PC shipments totaled 77.5 million units in the first quarter of 2022 and 83.6 million in the first quarter of 2021.

In the U.S. market, Apple shipped 2.8 million Macs, up 18.6 percent from 2.3 million in the same period last year. Apple’s U.S. share reached 14.5 percent, compared with 10.2 percent a year earlier. Dell, HP, and Lenovo are the top three in the US PC market, with shipments of 5.1 million, 4.3 million, and 3.3 million, respectively.
