Recently, an Apple patent numbered WO2022067344 was published. According to the information displayed, Apple is likely to launch gamepads for iPhone and iPad. This patent discloses three different handle designs, corresponding to different usage scenarios. The first handle design is similar to the Joy-Con handle of Nintendo Switch in appearance and key layout. It can turn iPhone and iPad into a portable game device. From the perspective of horizontal and vertical use, it is most likely to be wirelessly connected. The second kind of handle is more like Nintendo’s 3DS handheld in design, with iPhone or iPad as the main screen, and an auxiliary screen in the middle of the handle, which is more portable and convenient for users to input text and other operations.
