Reuters could not determine if the infiltration attempts were successful, who the masterminds of the attack were, or what information they were able to retrieve. According to security researchers, these attempts took place between February and September 2021 with ForcedEntry, software used by NSO that allows customers of the Israeli publisher to discreetly enter iPhones.
