Season 3 of Apple TV+’s hit science fiction series For All Mankind will premiere on Friday, June 10, the Cupertino-based company announced today. The series was one of the first shows for the streaming service available at launch. The space drama continues to be a hit with viewers.

Created by Ronald D. Moore, the alternate history series is about “what would have happened if the space race hadn’t ended.” It premiered on Apple TV+ on November 1, 2019.

In the first episode, a Russian cosmonaut was the first to reach the moon, which blew NASA morale and forced the US to start catching up.

The second season, which aired in February 2021, jumped a decade in time: the action takes place in 1983, at the height of the Cold War, when the US and the USSR begin to fight over the resources available on the moon.

In the third season, a second time jump took place, and the action was moved to the early 1990s, when America and the Soviet Union are in a race to go to Mars.

The first episode of the third season will air on Friday, June 10, and then one new episode will be released every Friday thereafter.
