Formula One will visit Bahrain until at least 2036 after announcing a lengthy contract extension with the grand prix which will open the season the next month on Friday. The Bahrain Grand Prix has been on the schedule since 2004 and be contested ever year with the exception of 2011 when it was cancelled due to protests in the country.
