There will once again be a run-off presidential election between the centrist Emmanuel Macron and the far-right Marine Le Pen. The Interior Ministry published the preliminary final results on Monday, a day after voters went to the polls in the 12-candidate race. After counting the ballots of all registered voters, Macron won 27.84% and Le Pen 23.15%. The left-wing politician Jean-Luc Mélenchon came a close third at 21.95%.
