Owners of diesel-powered Volkswagen vehicles bought as used cars in Germany who brought legal action after the deadline have no claim, the federal court ruled on Thursday. A ruling has yet to be made with respect to owners of new vehicles, on which the federal court is set to rule on February 21. The cases concern the use of cheat software to disguise illegal emissions from diesel vehicles that came to light in September 2015.
