Filmstaden has decided that people will no longer be allowed to bring their own snacks or drinks into the cinemas. The cinema chain instead wants such things to be bought by them at the cinema because sales at the cinemas are included as part of their business.
The Filmstaden’s official FAQ now reads as follows:
Filmstaden does not allow you to bring your own drinks, food, snacks, sweets, popcorn, etc. into the cinema. We have a large selection of drinks, food, snacks, popcorn and sweets in our stores, so that everyone can find something that suits them.
This decision was made a few weeks ago but this information does not seem to have reached too many visitors yet. Filmstaden will now put up signs that will inform visitors that you are not allowed to bring your own stuff.
