Two men robbed a Jersey City pharmacy of hundreds of oxycodone pills and a handful of bottles of cough syrup, Jersey City police said. The robbery occurred on Summit Avenue near Belmont Avenue at 6 p.m. Monday, Jersey City spokeswoman Kimberly Wallace-Scalcione said. Jersey City police responded and were told by an employee that he was robbed by two men who grabbed 500-600 oxycodone pills, an opioid; aas well as two to four bottles of cough syrup with codeine. No weapons were reported and no one was injured, Wallace-Scalcione said. The investigation is ongoing.
