According to Kommersant and several regional publications, the Yandex.Taxi service has revised its working conditions. The cost of travel will increase, and drivers will be deprived of several popular options that allowed them to earn higher earnings.
Drivers will no longer be able to purchase weekly and 12-hour shifts, and will no longer receive bonuses associated with these shifts. There are no bonuses for shorter shifts.
For passengers on all tariffs, the minimum price of a trip will increase (for example, on Economy in a number of regions – from 49 to 60 rubles), as well as a slight increase in the cost of a kilometer, a minute on the road and paid waiting time. Almost all trips will now become more expensive, and the increase in prices on more expensive fares will be more noticeable even in percentage terms.
These changes will be rolled out throughout April. Yandex explained to Kommersant that the revision of the conditions is due to the need to maintain the same level of service, and the updated tariffs will allow taxi companies and logistics partners to balance the economy of travel and orders.
“Together with our partner taxi companies, we decided to change tariffs in Russian cities in such a way as to, on the one hand, improve the economy of travel and partially compensate for the increase in prices for car maintenance and maintenance, and on the other hand, to continue to remain a service that is available the largest possible audience. A sharp change in tariffs can lead to the fact that the demand for trips will fall – there will be fewer orders, and, accordingly, the earnings of drivers will decrease, ”- told in Yandex.Taxi.
